There are many many cases of children, schools, colleges or other organisations making innovative educational use of the www and this award aimed to celebrate their achievments.

We looked for sites that:

  • encourage participation
  • involved children or students in their production
  • illustrate best practice in the use of communications technology in education
  • invite exploration and discovery
