McVitie's Penguin Polar Relay - Update 14 May 1997 More reports

The weather at the fuel cache some hundred miles south of Delta proved to be too poor for a landing (ice fog) even though the weather with Delta was OK. The plane had to turn back to Eureka. The weather was poor again last night; hopefully another attempt will be made tonight. Frustrating for everyone involved and of course crucial days of walking have been lost.

The important thing is that the team are all safe and well. They were on the radio last night and again this morning. We will give a full report in update tonight.
