Matty McNair   Age 45

Matty, who is American, has spent her working life to date in outdooor adventure education. She lives in Iqaluit just south of the Arctic Circle at the southern end of Baffin Island, where she runs a business - Northwinds Arctic Adventures - with her husband Paul Landry, which primarily offers adventure activities and guided tours. Matty has participated in and led many expeditions over the last twenty years. Her most ambitious expedition in recent years prior to the McVitie's Penguin Polar Relay was a 4,000km dog sled circumnavigation of Baffin Island which she completed successfully in 1990.
