Sue Riches    Age 50
Sue sees the Relay as a chance to prove that one can fight back. She has recently
recovered from breast cancer and a mastectomy and believes that everyone
should have at least one big adventure in their life. Married with three grown-
up children, she lives with her husband on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border
and is extremely active with Riding and Driving for the Disabled. She organised
the first World Driving Championships for the Disabled in 1993 and lists
amongst her achievements teaching the Bedouins to drive tourists around Petra.
She has run her own catering company, regularly exhibits paintings and whilst
she has kept very fit as a Club tennis player, she had never walked with a
rucksack on her back before the selection weekend.
